Shower Door Replacement — When It's Time to Upgrade
Not every project starts from scratch. If your current shower door is leaking, hard to clean, looking dated, or never quite fit right, a replacement can make a bigger difference than you'd expect — and it's far less disruptive than a full bathroom remodel.
Common reasons homeowners replace their shower doors:
- Worn seals letting water escape onto the floor
- Corroded or discolored metal frames that cleaning can't fix
- Outdated sliding track systems that feel clunky next to modern alternatives
- Builder-grade glass that was functional but never inspiring
Upgrading to a custom frameless door or enclosure is one of the most cost-effective ways to refresh a bathroom. Our team handles the full replacement: removing the existing door, prepping the opening, and installing your new glass with a clean finish. Not sure whether you need a repair or a full replacement? We'll take a look and give you an honest answer before any work begins.
Custom Shower Glass Options
We install shower glass for every bathroom type, budget, and layout. Here's what we offer:
Frameless Glass Shower Doors
The cleanest, most modern option. Thick tempered glass held with minimal hardware and no surrounding metal frame. Maximizes light, makes the bathroom feel larger, and is the easiest to keep clean long-term.
Semi-Frameless Shower Doors
Frames the stationary panels while leaving the door itself without a frame. A meaningful visual upgrade over traditional framed enclosures at a more manageable price point than going fully frameless.
Custom Glass Shower Panels
Ideal for walk-in showers. A fixed glass panel — no door — keeps the space open and minimalist while still containing water spray.
Full Shower Enclosures
Glass on all sides, designed to fit your exact layout. The right choice when you want a complete, enclosed feel without tile-to-ceiling walls.
Want to design the entire shower from scratch? Our custom shower service covers layout, tile, fixtures, and glass for a one-of-a-kind result.
Frameless vs. Semi-Frameless — Which Is Right for You?
This is the most common question we get. Here's a straightforward breakdown.
Frameless
Uses thick tempered glass (typically 3/8" or 1/2") with no surrounding metal frame. The result is a seamless, open look that makes any bathroom feel more spacious. No frame also means no metal track to trap soap scum — easier to clean, and it stays looking sharp for longer.
The tradeoff is cost. Frameless requires heavier glass and more precise installation. For most homeowners doing a longer-term renovation, it's an investment they don't regret.
Semi-Frameless
Frames the fixed panels and walls while leaving the swinging door unframed. You get a cleaner look than a traditional framed enclosure without the full custom price. Also a practical choice when walls aren't perfectly plumb — the partial frame gives more flexibility during installation.
Which should you choose?
Renovating for resale or want the cleanest possible look? Frameless is usually the better investment. Working with a tighter budget or doing a phased update? Semi-frameless delivers a real visual upgrade without the full custom cost. We'll walk you through both options during a free consultation so you can make a confident call.
