What a full service kitchen remodel actually includes
A kitchen remodel can mean a lot of different things depending on who you ask. At Quality Home Solutions, full service means we manage the entire project ourselves — design consultation, demolition, cabinetry installation, countertop fabrication, flooring, lighting, plumbing coordination, and final walkthrough. You’re not assembling a team of separate contractors and hoping they work together. One team, one point of contact, one standard of quality throughout.
We handle kitchen remodeling projects of all scopes across the Wasatch Front — from targeted refresh work on cabinets and countertops to complete gut renovations that reconfigure the layout entirely. Whatever you’re starting with, our process begins with an honest assessment of your space and a conversation about what you actually want from it.
Layout and design
Most kitchens in Utah homes weren’t designed for the way people actually cook and live today. Walls that break up the kitchen from the dining or living area, inefficient triangle arrangements between the sink, stove, and refrigerator, not enough counter space, not enough storage — these are the problems we solve at the design stage, before anything gets built.
We work with you to develop a layout that improves the way your kitchen functions day to day. That might mean opening up a wall to create better flow into an adjacent living space, repositioning the island to improve traffic patterns, or reconfiguring cabinet placement to maximize usable storage without adding square footage. Every layout decision is made around how you use your kitchen, not a template.
Cabinetry
Cabinets define the look and functionality of a kitchen more than almost any other element. We install custom and semi-custom cabinetry with soft-close hinges and drawer slides, a range of door styles and finishes, and interior organization options like pull-out shelves, deep drawer bases for pots and pans, and built-in dividers. We also design and build custom pantry cabinets, built-in bench seating, and kitchen islands as part of larger remodeling projects when the layout calls for it.
If your existing cabinet boxes are structurally sound but the doors and hardware are outdated, refacing is an option we can discuss as a more cost-effective alternative to a full cabinet replacement. We’ll give you a direct comparison of what each approach delivers for the investment.
We also handle cabinet and drawer hardware installation — knobs, pulls, and soft-close hinges — to make sure every detail of your new kitchen is finished to perfection.
Countertops
We work with quartz, granite, marble, quartzite, and solid surface countertop materials, and we help you choose based on how your kitchen actually gets used — not just how the material looks in a showroom. Quartz is our most requested material for its durability and low maintenance. Granite and marble offer natural variation that some homeowners prefer aesthetically but require sealing and more careful maintenance. We’ll walk through the honest tradeoffs during your consultation so you can make a confident, informed decision.
Countertop templating is done on-site after cabinet installation is complete, so every edge and cutout is measured from the real finished dimensions rather than from plans. That’s how you get a countertop that fits perfectly rather than one that requires caulk gaps and shimming to look right.
Flooring, lighting, and finishing
Kitchen flooring takes more abuse than almost any other surface in the home — moisture, dropped items, heavy foot traffic, chair legs, and cleaning chemicals all day every day. We install luxury vinyl plank, tile, and hardwood flooring in kitchens, and we’ll recommend the right material based on your household’s actual usage patterns rather than just what looks good. For lighting, we design and install recessed lighting layouts, under-cabinet lighting, and pendant fixtures over islands that improve both function and the overall feel of the space. Hardware, fixtures, and finish details are coordinated across the project so nothing looks mismatched when the job is complete.
Why choose Quality Home Solutions for your kitchen remodel
We’ve been completing kitchen remodeling projects across Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, Layton, Bountiful, Park City, Heber, and surrounding communities for over 18 years. That track record means we’ve encountered the full range of what Utah homes present — older kitchens with non-standard dimensions, tight budgets that need to be stretched strategically, open-concept conversions in homes that weren’t built for them. We know how to navigate the complexity without passing the stress on to you.
Remodeling your kitchen often inspires a bathroom upgrade too — and our team is ready to handle both with the same attention to quality and detail.
Thinking bigger? Many of our kitchen remodel customers also upgrade their basement — adding a home bar, entertainment room, or guest suite to make the most of their investment.
